In terms of Photography, Aerial view or Bird’s eye view is the view of an object from above, as if the observer were a bird.
Bird’s eye view photography is often used in making blueprints, floor plans and maps.
Thanks to drones getting advanced and cheaper, bird’s eye view photography is on the rise.
Not only that, but air-borne cameras keep advancing and reaching new heights (literally!).
I’ve hand-picked some of the best Bird’s eye view pictures taken by various artists in Dubai, UAE.
Bird’s eye View From Burj Khalifa
Max from Russia was visiting Dubai, and he made it to the 125th floor of the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, till a new challenger rises above it.
Max shot a panorama showing how Dubai looks from that height, and posted it to his Deviantart collection.
An eye-candy by all means. It simply shows a different view from other similar photos you find for Dubai.
Timelapse of Dubai 2.0
Richard Bentley, a British photographer, has ‘photographed’ Dubai over 2.5 weeks, one to two sequences per night and posted his results on Vimeo and on his websites, where you can watch in awe many of his amazing creations. For now, enjoy how Dubai looks at night and day.
And here is a recent 4K UHD timelapse video of Dubai by Teemu Jarvinen shot over the duration of 4 month.
The video shows the short winter season of Dubai.
It’s full of bird’s eye view footage as well, along with some thunder!
If you happen to know about any related bird’s-eye view picture that should be included here, just send me its link.
